On View Monday, June 15 - Friday, July 17
The Evelyn Peeler Peacock at The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes (The ARTS Council) is proud to present Neon Chapel, a Solo Exhibition by Tori Immerwahr! The exhibition will run from Monday, June 15, through Friday, July 17. You’re invited to an opening reception on Saturday, June 20, from 5 to 7pm at The ARTS Council, 79 West Market St. in Corning, NY.
Tori Immerwahr (they/them) is a freelance artist and muralist based in Corning, NY. Their work is primarily figurative, with a focus on contemporary storytelling through dynamic portraiture and anthropomorphic fauna and flora.
Tori says Neon Chapel is, “…a direct examination of my youth spent in the shadows of religious and nationalist fundamentalism, revisiting as an adult the prophecies that defined my childhood. The lessons I learned growing up are anything but niche; they are the very ethos of an infectious, spiteful movement festering within our families and our communities.”
