Heritage VIllage of the Southern Finger Lakes - Blast Into History

The Heritage Village of the Southern Finger Lakes (59 W. Pulteney ST. Corning, NY) will be hosting “Blast into History”, on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 10 AM-4 PM and Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM. General admission for adults is $5.00.  Children under 16 and Corning Painted Post Historical Society members are free.  The event will be a War of Independence 1776 re-enactment weekend filled with firearm demonstrations, campfire cooking, drilling, a public trial, an encampment area and a variety of talks throughout the day at the village. The 1^st NY McCracken’s Company will be in period costume for all of the demonstrations and activities. The public is encouraged to participate in the activities.  The Patterson Inn and other buildings will be open for visitors.  Soup, bread and water will be available on site. Cheers to History will be a separate event on Saturday evening featuring historic and local drinks and frivolity at the Patterson Inn Tavern.  Pre-registration and a separate fee is required to attend Cheers to History.  You can find more information at our website, www.HeritageVillageSFL.org  or call 937-5281.
