Heritage Village of the Southern Finger Lakes - Blacksmith Classes

The Heritage Village (located at 59 W. Pulteney St, Corning) will hold blacksmith classes in its historic 1870 Charles Cooley blacksmith shop once a month from June through October. The shop is outfitted with vintage equipment and tools that will be used to forge iron into useful shapes and objects. Each class will have just two students. All tools and class materials are provided. Two instructional levels will be taught, Basic Fundamentals and Intermediate Fundamentals. The 2-day class runs from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm; the cost is $150.00. Bring your lunch and we will eat in the 1796 tavern! Preregistration is required.
