Behind the Glass: Vienna 1900, The Heart of Modernity

Vienna 1900 was at the heart of European modernity as a unique set of circumstances gave rise to a new and modern life there. Join Janis Staggs, Director of Curatorial and Manager of Publications at the Neue Galerie in New York, to explore this rich period in history. Presented through a multi-disciplinary lens focused on key figures and the artistic, cultural, historical, and social developments of the era, this promises to be an exciting evening in Vienna 1900.

Staggs is Director of Curatorial and Manager of Publications at Neue Galerie New York, and has been with the museum since 2000. A specialist in the decorative arts, her work focuses on the intersection between the fine and decorative arts.
